Charity appeals 2017 and 2018
Charitable appeal for 2017 and 2018
In November and December 2017 we had two half price prints on sale in aid of the flood appeal at Aberdeen Synagogue. Your generosity in buying one of these special prints raised a total of £525 to repair the synagogue – which with gift aid was increased to 656.75. Aberdeen Synagogue and Community Centre have now managed to raise the entire sum of £10,000 they needed to cover the post-flood repairs. Thanks to you all!
During 2018: half the income of all SIGNED PRINTS sold from this site was divided between:
The Scottish Jewish Archives Centre – towards their work collecting and preserving material relating to the Jewish experience in Scotland over the past 200 years – an organisation that Hannah Frank and her husband Lionel supported since it started.
The Mackintosh Campus Appeal . At a total project cost of £80 million, the Mackintosh Campus Appeal will sympathetically and authentically restore the world-famous Mackintosh Building and return it to the heart of the campus, enable us to recover from the consequences of the fire and also fund the purchase and refurbishment of the Stow building. Hannah Frank who studied at the School of Art would have been devastated by the news of the fire and would have wished to support the fund. Update: we await news after the second fire
and Creative Access who have set up a fund to provide internships for young black and minority ethnic artists in memory of Khadija Saye, the young artist who died in the Grenfell fire.
